Marilu Henner's life has been an evidence of the strength of her health-focused approach. She believes you can achieve whatever you want with a healthy body. But it wasn't always this way. When she was in her teens, her weight rose dramatically. Emotional eating caused her to feel sick and unwell all times. When her parents both passed away in their 50's - her mother from complications from arthritis and her father due to an attack on his heart--she realized she was required to take care over her own health, so that the same fate would not come her way.
